Opening the latest issue of NYLON, a very refreshing ad caught my eye. Surprising, considering I thought I’d got my fill of AA’s NSFW ads lingering outside their storefront on my college campus. However, this black & white ad has such an old-school feel that makes me think of print works from the golden age- a beautiful girl, a logo, and straightforward copy (in a standard font) that lays it all out in a way no one feels they’re being sold to. It reads:

“Meet Aisha. Born in London, Aisha moved to the States at age 9, and currently lives in L.A. We met her when she submitted model photos and started working trade shows for us in Las Vegas. She now works as a model for us from time to time, while attending school for journalism. We photographed her in the Steel Gray Riding Pants, one of three new colors for fall.”
